Introducing. . .
BY THE SHORES OF LAKE MICHIGAN: A COLLECTION OF SIX LINKED STORIES
By Julia Wilson
For the last 32 years, I have been spending summers in Northern Michigan, next to Lake Michigan and various smaller lakes. Most of the mining and timber industry has disappeared from the area, leaving, apart from the tourist revenue, economically depressed towns.
Leaning on my familiarity of the area, I have crafted six short stories about the challenges one family faces living in East Jordan, Michigan, including unexpected pregnancies, college aspirations, and drug use.
